Diversity Programs

  1. Stanford Engineering Diversity Programs - this office works towards promoting and inspiring innovative approaches to fairness in higher education and workplaces.

  2. Diversity and Access Office - this office works on advancing Stanford's commitment to diversity, and equal opportunity and affirmative action goals.

 

Mentoring Programs

  1. MentorNet - nonprofit online mentoring network for people in engineering and science. 

  2. Stanford Alumni Mentoring - mentoring program that pairs graduate students with alumni in Industry and Academia.

 

Career Development

  1. Center for Teaching and Learning - offers oral communication classes and TA training workshops on campus. 

  2. Career Development Center - provides resources for the career-related interests of Stanford students, including counseling, workshops, career fairs, and a job database. 

  3. Office of Vice Provost for Graduate Education (VPGE) - works collaboratively across the University to ensure that every graduate student has the best possible education.

 

Graduate Life

  1. Black Community Services Center - engages students through individual advising and programs that foster an environment for intellectual exploration.

  2. Graduate Life Office - provides consultation and advising support for Stanford graduate students. 

  3. Graduate Student Council (GSC) - represents the interests of Stanford graduate students in the institution. 

  4. CAPS - provides counseling and psychological services for the Stanford community, including free short-term counseling, a variety of support groups, and crisis counseling.

     

Community Service

  1. I Cubed: Inspectors, Inquirers, Inventors! - organization, led by Stanford graduate students and alumni, is geared toward inspiring interest and promoting confidence in science and engineering among young children, especially those in demographic groups currently underrepresented in STEM fields. They do this through visits to East Palo Alto classrooms, community events, and their annual I Cubed Camp. 

  2. Haas Center for Public Service - promotes, organizes and supports public and community service by members of the Stanford community, especially students. Their staff can help you find great service opportunities. 

  3. VolunteerMatch - national website that lists a wide variety of non-Stanford community service projects.
